Canadian Private Security (CPS) is an Ontario-based firm led by Director James Fries—with martial arts background and long-time defensive-tactics instructor. James has trained and taught for over 3 decades, earning credentials such as ITC Certified Bodyguard, CDT and Last Resort Tactics instructor, and Ronin Police Defensive Tactics instructor; he's studied under the likes of world-renowned bodyguard Tom Patire and retired ATF agent Carlos Montalvo. James continues to mentor professionals across Canada. Our team is strengthened by international ties. In the United States, we align with State of the Art Security Agency (SASA)—owned and operated by personal-safety expert Tom Patire—to share close-protection best practices and training insights. In Bermuda, we maintain a professional connection with Bermuda Security Group (BSG), the island's premier security and life-safety provider. These relationships give CPS global perspective while delivering local, Ontario-focused service.
